Getting Started for Brokers

Broker Ratings

What are Broker ratings?

A Broker's rating is a measurement of that Broker's originated financing performance. Specifically, the Broker rating is an expression of a Broker's financing performance against expected (historical) charge-off rates.

Why Broker ratings?

Broker ratings give IRESE members a quantitative way of measuring a Broker's financing performance in comparison to the historical charge-off rates of its Property Owners.

Broker ratings help:
  • Investors determine whether specific Brokers are outperforming or underperforming the expected charge-off rates of its Property Owners.
  • Property Owners choose a Broker to join which has a strong payment history, and therefore attracts more favorable rates from Investors.
  • Brokers measure their effectiveness in maintaining strong payment performance in comparison to historical charge-off rates.
