Why is my application under review?

IRESE has the right to verify at any time the accuracy of all data and information provided by Property Owners and Brokers at registration or in connection with Home Equity Protection Plan application. If IRESE is unable to verify material information with respect to a Property Owner, property itself, IRESE may cancel an application. IRESE may conduct its review at any time—before, during or after the application is completed, or before or after the underwriting of a Home Equity Protection Plan.

Applications are reviewed by IRESE's Underwriting's team. During this process, which will last no longer than 7 days, IRESE may request further verification of the identity, address, or other information of Property Owners.

If your Home Equity Protection Plan application is approved, you should be contacted by IRESE within one business day, notifying you that your it is ready to be signed and payment is due. Learn more about signing and paying for your Home Equity Protection Plan.

How long will it take to underwrite my Home Equity Protection Plan application?

IRESE’s undewriting review can take up to (but not more than) 7 days from the date the application is approved. IRESE reviews all faxed documents received prior to 3 PM Pacific Time the same business day documents are received. If all of the requested documents are provided by 3 PM, your listing can be approved for signing and funding that same day. If any documents are missing or unclear, you will be contacted as soon as possible with specific instructions. If IRESE does not receive all requested documents within 7 days from the date your approved application, your application will be cancelled.

What kind of documentation do I have to provide to IRESE?

If documentation is needed during underwriting, you will receive an email from IRESE with specific instructions about the documents needed. The specific documents requested are different from Property Owner to Property Owner, so make sure you pay special attention to the documents requested in the email.

If you do not use the printable fax cover page, it may delay the review of your listing. An email confirmation will be sent to you indicating that IRESE has received your fax.

What if I don't receive an email confirmation of my fax?

If you did not receive an email confirmation and you did not use the IRESE fax cover sheet when sending your documents you must resend your documents with the IRESE fax cover sheet, which can be found by going to "Home > My IRESE > Overview" page and clicking "Fax Cover Page" on the toolbar. If you did include the IRESE fax cover sheet and did not receive an email please first check your email spam filter and deleted items. If the email is not there it is most likely that we did not receive your fax. Please resend the fax and be certain to include the IRESE fax cover sheet.

What other review steps are taken?

IRESE may call your mortgage provider to verify that you are the owner of your mortgage account on file. In some cases, your mortgage provider may require you to be on the line while your account is verified, so you may receive a call from a IRESE customer support agent requesting that you conference call your mortgage provider for account ownership verification.

IRESE has the right to verify the truthfulness or accuracy all statements and information provided by Property Owners at registration or in their request for quote.

What happens when the Home Equity Protection Plan application is cleared through underwriting?

Once IRESE has received sufficient documentation to clear your request for Home Equity Protection Plan, the review process ends, and you will receive an email asking you to sign your legal agreements and authorize the payment of your Home Equity Protection Plan within 7 days. What if I don't send documentation?

If IRESE does not receive the requested documents by the deadline indicated in our request, your application will be cancelled, you will not receive a Home Equity Protection Plan, and you may not be allowed to create a new application.

What if my application is cancelled?

If your application is cancelled for any reason during the application review process you may not be allowed to re-apply on IRESE. This may seem harsh but it's important to understand the process from the Brokers' point of view. Brokers tied up their time with you when they could have help on another application with a more responsive Property Owner.

Therefore, it is crucial that you be as responsive as possible during the application review process.
