System Requirements

IRESE is compatible with the most widely used browsers listed below.

In addition to the compatible browsers listed above, IRESE may also be compatible with older or newer browsers or browsers not listed. However, we cannot guarantee their performance.

To determine which browser and version you are using follow these steps:

  1. Launch your browser.
  2. On the top task bar, click on 'Help'.
  3. In the drop down menu, choose 'About...'
  4. The current version of your browser will be indicated in the pop-up box.
  5. Click on OK or the X in the top right corner of the pop-up box to exit.

128 Bit Browser Required

As part of our ongoing effort to assure the high security level of IRESE, we require all browsers accessing secure pages within our website to support 128-bit encryption.

To determine if your browser supports 128-bit encryption, click on "Help" in the toolbar of your Internet browser and click on "About [browser name]". A pop-up box or window will display. For Internet Explorer: next to "Cipher strength" you should see "128-bit." For Netscape: the following text should appear: "This version supports high-grade (128-bit) security with RSA Public Key Cryptography". AOL users will have to check the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser to see if it supports 128-bit encryption.

If your browser does not support 128-bit encryption, you will need to upgrade to a browser that does in order to access secure pages of the IRESE website.

Downloading a Compatible Browser

If you are not using one of the supported browsers above, you should download the latest version by clicking on its link above. If you use AOL and the modified Internet Explorer browser that comes as part of AOL, AOL and Internet Explorer have to be upgraded through America Online for your browser to function correctly.

Cookies and JavaScript Support

Both Cookies and JavaScript must be enabled for your IRESE experience to run smoothly. If either of these are not correctly activated you will have problems viewing the site correctly. To see if your browser is appropriately configured, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to "Tools" in the menu bar of your browser
  2. Select "Internet Options" from the drop-down list
  3. Select the "Security" tab
  4. Select "Custom Level" at the bottom of the pop-up box
  5. Scroll down to the Cookie and JavaScript settings
